The story begins with a special detachment of a space style resecue force (sorta like a space coast guard) launching to investage a large ship that had just enter the planets sensor rage and only showing one life sign despite how big it is. Oddly while shifting through the ship they find little to no bodies but discover that most of the occupents had jettisoned along time ago, and according to the ships computer 100 years ago and nearly twice that iin distance in lightyears.  On furture investagtion the main character (name pending) discovers 2 bodies in sepreate cryo chamber, both showing life signs despite the fact sensors shown only one. Well something goes amiss jetsoning the bodies to the planets service and he takes the blame for it. He's then suspended from the space force and is sent out to track down the survivors after the capsules they went planetside in turn up empty.

    From the survivors side they were involved in a long running war with another planet. The ship was crippled and the enemy forces were engaged to board it. All hands were ordered to abandon ship to slow down the enemy while they went to pick them up as prisoners (  due to a type of geneva convention sorta thing). One new officer was grabbed by the admiral and was asked, not order to protect his daughter no matter what the cost who was residing in a cryo chamber that the admiral was gesturing at. Well push comes to shove and the officer agress and is put into cryo sleep. The ship is set  to go into lightspeed till it reaches a inhabitalbe system.

    The reason why they were discharged from the ship was not due to the actions of the space force but because it was within distance of the planet. The whole storyline focuses between these three people. The space force member sent to track these two down, the officer who is trying to keep the admirals daughter out of the hands of those who attacked them, and the admirals daughter who really is an android who only wants to learn more about the new world she has awoken to. Eventually the space force after investagting discovers the purpose of the andriod and wants to capture it for thier countries own uses. A spy reports said information to his country and they jump in to claim it for themselves. Also the orginal attackers of the ship and the owners after declaring peace come in search of the andriod. The whole time the space force member and officer bring the world to the brink of a world if not interstellar war to try and figure out the others goals to only eventually team up in the face of massive odds to keep this mysterouis android women out of all of thier hands.
